What to expect when working together

What I ask of clients

  • A consistent schedule. Most horses are seen every 5–6 weeks to maintain progress and comfort.

  • A safe, clean, and reasonably level area to work.

  • A horse that is prepared and able to be handled, or arrangements made in advance.

  • Communication. Please reach out with changes, concerns, or questions.

  • 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Long-distance routes are scheduled tightly and may be subject to additional fees.

  • Payment at time of services.

For long-distance/coastal routes: If you are unable to be present, arrangements can often be made to keep your horse on the schedule. Additional fees may apply if assistance is needed.

What I promise you

  • Thoughtful, individualized hoof care based on the horse in front of me

  • Clear communication about what I’m seeing and how we can address it

  • Respect for your horse’s comfort and limits

  • Consistency in scheduling and follow-through

  • Willingness to collaborate with your veterinarian and care team when needed

  • Ongoing education to better support the horses I work with
